FAQ
Trip cancellation insurance provides coverage in case you need to suddenly cancel a reserved flight ticket, accommodation or a tour. The reasons may include, for example, your serious acute illness or injury that requires hospitalization, death of your closest relative or extensive damage to your residence. Depending on the selected insurance option, there is 0% or 20% deductible of the cancellation fees.
Deductible is a specific amount or percentage you contribute to each claim settled. For example, if your deductible is 20 %, on a claim amounting to CZK 10,000, we will pay you CZK 8,000.
Insurance must be concluded within 3 working days from the payment for the first travel service. If you purchased the travel services less than 15 days before the departure (i.e. "last minute" tours), the insurance must be concluded on the date of payment for the services. Bookings by credit cards are considered to be payments.
If you suddenly need to cancel a tour that has already been paid, notify your travel agent (at least by telephone) and report the cancellation of the trip online in the section "Make a claim" of this website. Do not forget to attach a travel contract and other required documents so we can settle the claim in time.
Trip cancellation insurance lasts until you use the travel service that you paid for or until you cross the borders of the Czech Republic. This means, for example, check-in at the airport or crossing the border when you travel abroad by your own vehicle.
Insurance Details
Trip cancellation insurance is intended to cover cases in which you are compelled to suddenly cancel your air-ticket, accommodation or tour. It applies to travel abroad and also within the Czech Republic. You must contract the insurance within 3 working days after payment of the first travel service (for “last minute” services on the date of payment for the services). - Extensive household damage (0% deductible)

Health problems of people who were not supposed to travel with you are, for example, caring for sick grandparents, injury of a close colleague or death of a loved one.
Other verifiable reasons may be:
- subpoena,
- cancellation of the meeting by your business partner,
- non-receipt of a visa for which you are not liable,
- traffic accident that happened on the way to the airport,
- cancellation of the event that was the main purpose of your trip,
- adoption of a child,
- death of your pet.
Cost of Insurance
Trip Cancellation costs 4% of the price of the trip, air ticket, accommodation, etc. With Trip Cancellation Plus for 7% of the travel service price, you can cancel also due to issues of people who were not supposed to travel with you.
The maximum price of a tour or travel services that we insure is CZK 500,000 per insurance contract, family or co-travellers. If you wish to insure a more expensive tour or travel service, please contact us at 221 860 860.
Deductible
Depending on the selected insurance option, we will refund up to 100% of the amount that you paid to the tour operator, flight ticket vendor, accommodation facility or any other travel service provider. If you cancel your trip for reasons with 20% deductible, we will refund 80% of the total price of the services.
Discounts offered
In case you also buy travel insturance SingleTrip or annual insurance MultiTrip the Trip Cancellation will cost you only 3% , i.e. 5% (Trip Cancellation Plus) of the price of a tour or any other travel service.
